FARISH HSTs
The HST was introduced late in 1981, initially as a BR Blue set with both power-cars powered using a motor bogie. This configuration was unreliable and later HST sets were powered by a single chassis.
All HST sets consisted two power-cars and a coach, some sets included a TS coach others a TF type. Coaches were produced to match the HST sets, early Blue/Grey and Executive Liveried coaches were under-scale and dwarfed by the power-cars, later coaches were corrected.
The initial BR Blue HST was supplemented by a BR Executive livery version, this was laterreplaced by a BR Intercity (Swift) type. A Great Western liveried HST was produced late in the 1990's, although the relevant TF and TS coached were produced the TGS and TRFB was not, leaving some full sets a little short!
The last Farish produced HST set was in Virgin livery, this time all coaches, including the TGS and TRSB were produced allowing a full Cross Country set to be replicated.
