FARISH DIESELS

From the humble beginnings of the Class 08 Shunter the Farish range became one of the most comprehensive selections of British outline diesel locomotives.

The range shared some common chassis parts, i.e. classes 37/47/56/57, 50/52/55, 20/40, and 25/33. This led to some compromises on bogie spacing, wheel spacing and general looks; also some body parts (Class 47/57) were shared.

The liveries available were wide and varied, however, not always accurate and in some cases were only worn by a single locomotive (Porterbrook Deltic) or a very small group. Some more wider used liveries were not produced like Railfreight (Except in a test batch of 47s and the abandoned Class 20s) that could have been carried by a number of the diesels with variations easily produced.
