DAPOL ELECTRICS
Dapol's first modern image locomotive is the Class 73/1 Electro-Diesel. The model incorporates a split frame chassis, flywheels, blackened wheels and where relevant, white LED Hi-Intensity light.
This was the first fully new locomotive in British Outline for five years, the Farish Class 87 electric being the last. The amazing fact was the announcement of this locomotive at Warley 2003 and its appearance at Warley 2004!
Althought the Class 73's were usually associated with the Southern Region on the 3rd Rail Electric system, they have worn many liveries; many of these have been produced, including GBRf Pairs.
2007 saw the development of a new JA type for a limited edition plus improved chassis and easy DCC fitting.
Dapol announced, at the N Gauge Society AGM in May 2008, the intention to produce a Class 86 in multiple liveries.
