DAPOL DIESELS

The first Dapol Diesel, the Class 66 in EWS Livery, arrived at the end of October 2005, weeks ahead of the projected Warley release date. In the first week of February 2006 the next batch of eight Class 66s arrived in GBRf and Medite liveries, followed in June by eight Freightliner 66s.

The 66 will has working head and tail lamps in the correct configuration for the later batches, all will be released in small batches (~250) and with many numbers.

Dapol had announced they are working on an 03 and 04 shunter for release in 2006/7, however, Bachmann announced the Class 04 as part of the 2006 range and Dapol dropped the idea.

2006/7 saw further Class 66 liveries plus development of the Low Emission types, continue improvemenmt provided upgraded bogies and easy DCC fitting.

At the Dapol Open Day in October 2007 it was announced that a Class 35 Hymek would be ready for release at the 2007 Warkey Exhibition, plans for 2008 inluded a Class 67.

The first main announcement of 2008 was the intent to produce the Class 22 in a variation of styles and liveries.
