BACHFAR DIESELS

The first diesels to be re-introduced were the Class 08 shunters, these had some mechanical improvements but the biggest gain was blackened wheels and much crisper printing - the downside still being the use of the incorrect steam locomotive chassis.

Soon to follow were Classes 47/57/56/50/37/52/55. all with the new split-chassis, blackened wheels and flywheels - certainly a step in the right direction. Later the first Bo-Bo types arrived in the form of Class 25 and 33 both in previously unreleased liveries.

The last of the 'old Farish' diesels to be re-released were the Class 40 and 31, both on new type chassis and the Class 20; still on it original type chassis due to lack of space to accommodate a split-frame format with flywheels.

The first completely new Diesel to be produced, the Class 66, arrived late in 2005; the loco included working lights and was DCC ready. The second new locos to arrive in March 2006 were the Peaks - Classes 44/45/46. In 2007 the long awaited class 60 arrived, also the 04 shunter and finally the updated 37/0.

A revised Class 47 is planned for 2008, to be joined by an outside framed 08 shunter announced at the N Gauge Society AGM in May 2008.
